Gripping plot and sub plots..
Well read and engaging storyline. Crime and the underworld in wartime Berlin. Strong characters and a super plot. Another must listen from this incredible author.

Really Enjoyable Story
I like Simon Scarrow's historical novels. Always enjoyable stories with interesting characters. But it's the historical base of the stories I enjoy the most.
This book was no different, it was gripping from the start and moved along a good pace. The building up to climax was a bit predictable, with some twists became apparent before their time.
The narrator was excellent, rather than using different German accents, he used English dialects instead, which work perfectly.

Excellent
I have enjoyed the series, it's a thought provoking and interesting insight to life under the Third Reich. A good person trying to do the right thing against the system . A lesson from History not to be ignored.

The depth of detail in the main characters leaves me waiting with anticipation for the next book.
I love the story telling, the characters and the history. the book is well written and well read other than the accent of some of the characters, it sounds strange listening to German characters with Scouse, Geordie, Scottish and Welsh accents rather than the neutral tones of the narrator.

love the series
Great listens The books are well written and the stories are always fantastic with historical correctness. this helps you to understand what life was like at the time. Narrated well with the characters voices believable.
