Summary

'We all have to do our part if we’re to survive the coming storm.'

Alexandra Jennings might be the hero of The Medoran Chronicles, but she would be lost without her three closest friends. They are her heroes, and like all heroes, they each have their own story.

Meet the real D.C. in 'Crowns and Curses' and discover how she becomes the princess Alex once despised but now adores.

Follow Jordan on his healing journey in 'Scars and Silence' as he struggles in the wake of being rescued from his living nightmare.

Walk beside Bear in 'Hearts and Headstones' as he faces an unspeakable trauma while helping his world prepare for the coming war.

D.C., Jordan and Bear are the heroes of their own stories.

It is time for their stories to be told.

Great story, poor narration

Lynette Noni has given a great insight into the characters fighting Aven with Alex in the rest of the series. However the narrations let it down. The pronunciation of key places, items and characters differ from the other 5 books and the voices of characters are poor.

really good side addition to the main book

this is a good listen, it ties up some loose ends and gives some context to anyone reading the main books.

story gap filler

dixs story was hard to listen to at first and the fact she had to wait all that time for her friend and her missed opportunities all three story's were sort of harrowing I liked it

Couldn't get into it

I loved the other books but just couldn't get into this one. I got about 5 chapters in and gave up. I'm not keen on the change of narrator either, maybe I'm just used to the other narrator from the other books. Maybe it's because its told from a different perspective, I don't know, but I'm just not enjoying this book at all.

Feels Out Of Place

As a novella slotted into place in the series, these three short stories are actually good at tying up loose ends as we head into the final stages of the series. The big issue I have with it is the voices, they are just all wrong and don't match the characters at all. In my opinion it was a big mistake to use these narrators, it makes it hard to follow at times and there is no continuity with the actual series. The book itself is awesome and has plenty explanations for questions that were lingering about the trio's past.

Not sure about this one

I’m not sure about this one as I really didn’t like the change of narration, I don’t think it was needed when the one narrator was great for the last few books and then to switch to 3 different ones seemed pointless, I didn’t like how they changed the voices of the other characters either when each of them did their parts! It was a slightly pointless book too as it’s just rehashing the other books just shorter and from different points of view when I don’t think it’s really added anything extra to it really, other than perhaps to set up for a relationship between Bear and Declan? I hope the next book isn’t the same narrators!
