Embodied Holiness

By: Susan Eaton Lindsey Lewis & Alex Doleac
  • Summary

  • Holiness is one of those words that seems out of reach and reserved only for God or the super spiritual. But Jesus taught us that holiness can become a reality in the everyday moments and events of our lives. So, if we take Jesus seriously, what would it look like to embody holiness on a chaotic Tuesday morning? What would it sound like to embody holiness when we're running late or having a stressful conversation with our spouse?

In each episode, we'll address an everyday topic and discuss the specific challenges of embodying holiness in that aspect of life. We'll share resources we've found helpful to our own spiritual journeys and share our stories of growth and failure. We'll also be joined by special guests from time to time. If you're interested in learning how to grow in holiness, you're in the right place. Thanks for joining us on the journey!

  • Ep. 74 Living with Purpose in a Polarizing World with Randy Pope and Al Erisman
    Nov 26 2024

    Send us a text

Western culture is increasingly polarized, and Christians often feel they are “under siege” by the dominant secular culture. Compounding the problem is that Christians cannot agree among themselves on how to respond to an increasingly “post-Christian " culture. Susan and Alex talk with authors Randy Pope and Al Erisman about how we can engage the culture we live in as disciples of Jesus.

Meet Dwight Owens. Dwight shares his journey from life as an able-bodied young man chasing his dreams to having his world turned upside down by the thoughtless act of a 71-year-old drunk driver. With no visible signs of life, having coded twice, the doctors called his death. But Dwight survived against all odds. Although there were many physical and emotional setbacks, Dwight Owens is alive and well today, embodying what it means to live life with joy and hope.

“After spending almost a full year of my life in the hospital fighting for my life, God brought me back from the brink of death. I was declared a miracle. For that reason, despite my circumstances, I wake up every morning with unbelievable joy with a goal to make each day count for something!” ~Dwight Owens
