You don't need to be available to everyone all the time, so if you are feeling a bit overwhelmed - try putting the phone on do not disturb for a while. It will all be there when you get back to it.

Pablo Wright suggests in his book "My Awakenings - A Good Mental Health Toolkit" that to aid recovery from a brain injury and to support good mental health it's okay to put the phone to one side for a while (** Providing your health care professionals are in agreement **).

Making ourselves react to every ping can take its toll on out mental well-being. So a short period of peace and quiet can be restorative.

  • Sit by Moving Water - Mental Health Tip #5 - My Awakenings A Good Mental Health Tip - Pablo Wright
    Sep 28 2024

One mindful activity that I find helpful that comes out in my book "My Awakenings - A Good Mental Health Toolkit - Pablo Wright" Amazon Books is... to sit by and watch moving water.

We often head out to a lake or the ocean and just enjoy a drink while watching the water lap against the shore or listen to the waves and the sounds of nature around the watercourse.

If you allow yourself to be in the moment you may feel the tension falling out of your shoulders.

Keeping a record of this in a journal will help you to understand just how helpful this can be.
