Andrea Warren pushed her hand through her thick, dark hair and sighed. The project was not going how she wanted it to go. Her partners were well-intentioned, but they really had no idea what the neighborhood they were working with needed. Everybody she was working with was white and gave little to no thought to the needs of the black kids or understood what their lives were like.

She couldn't afford to be fired from this job. It was hard enough to find good jobs when certain types of managers looked down on her for her size. She was what the rest of society would call obese, what her doctor called someone with an "unhealthy weight", and, to top it off, her passions were clothing and design, so of course everyone she worked with was superficial and didn't hesitate to hurt her feelings.

Annabelle frowned. She had been hitchhiking for a long time now, but there weren't many cars out around this area, especially at this time of night. She was really tired of being mistreated by her parents though, especially when they made her feel like an indentured servant who had to take care of her younger siblings, so that they could f - k off and not do anything.

Avin sighed. She had held this little secret in her chest for quite a while now. It felt wrong because of how much she had loved her husband, but her crush on Reese was wildly exciting. The woman's form-fitting blouses and luscious, sensual lips sent a thrill through her that she couldn't get over. Of course Reese was probably married or seeing someone, but that didn't matter. It was all a harmless fantasy, right?

Shauna was competing to be in one of the biggest commercials out there, and it would be one that would rake in a ton of money, not only for her but for the company that she worked for as well. They were looking for the perfect female, and with her exotic features and dark, chocolate skin, she felt like she did have a shadow of a chance with this.

Brady and Miles had been friends for as long as they could remember. They had done everything together. Their parents had been friends long before, so they were really close from the time they were tiny. As they aged, they shared everything, right from their crushes to their secrets. Sometimes, they would like the same girl and talk together about what it might be like to be with her. They were really open and honest with each other.

Randall Hill had really bitten off more than he could chew in taking over the tiny restaurant down the street from his home. It had always been one of his favorite places, and buying it out was a dream come true. However, his business knowledge wasn't nearly enough to keep it afloat, and with all of his money invested into buying the place, he had to make it work on a tiny budget.

Andrea walked to the elevator, careful not to make eye contact with anyone. She felt humiliated. She had practically thrown herself at the head of the corporation. It's not like he wasn't interested, but still, could she have possibly seemed any more desperate? If she wasn't careful, he was going to think that all she was after was a quick promotion by gaining the boss' favor. She had worked too hard all throughout her career to be simply handed things based on her body and not her intelligence...if he thought she was trying to sleep her way to the top.
