In the summer of 2015, I was diagnosed with colon cancer when I was 43. Broken Bowels is my personal account of these horrific, yet truly amazing, years. I've had countless treatments, six surgeries, and terrible side effects from chemotherapy, I've had a colostomy for nearly two years and an ileostomy for three months. I've lived without solid food for nearly a year. But I survived, and now I'm happier than ever.

Bill Brabham, a recently divorced and unemployed financial manager from Texas, is a man down on his luck. With nothing left to lose except possibly a few years of his life, he takes a high-risk, high-reward job cleaning up at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. While in Japan, his luck drastically changes, and everything starts to go right for him. Unfortunately, his newfound luck seems to be coming at the expense of those around him.

Big things are happening for Mark Scottsdale. He has just graduated from college and is looking forward to starting a new life with his childhood friend and longtime girlfriend, Lisa. So when an old classmate of his offers him a high-paying job working for a new research facility, Mark jumps at the opportunity. However, all of his dreams come to an abrupt end when Lisa is taken from him by a drunk driver. But if Mark could gain access to his company's secret Flicker World project, he just might be able to see his beloved Lisa again after all.
