Took a while to get into but picked up soon enough
The fast half of the book in all honestly dragged. I had to just keep chugging on. The characters did not quite make sense. Half way through however I was really into the characters and story plot. The second half of the book I finished really quickly. I am wanting to know more about characters like Rhys and so will definitely be reading book 2.
The narration was brilliant!

Amazing!
Absolutely loved this story start to end! It's the first audio book I've listened to and I'm so glad I chose it as I couldn't stop listening and it's really brought back my love for reading! The narrator was brilliant and read with great pace and tone. 10/10, can't wait to read the next books in the series!

Gripping
Loved it. Had me hooked in the first 20 minutes. Such a beautiful love story filled with mystery, adventure and a bit of Sci fi which I love.

I didn’t expect much from this book because I read some negative reviews but BOY DO I DISAGREE WITH THEM. I only just learned that there is going to be 6 books in this series and I’m so excited 😍

My new favorite
I am rating this book after my second run through the series. First time I kept reading for nice language and captivating storyline, but I was dismissing cliches, like love story with perfect high lord.
Not really believing in promises author made in very subtle hints, I've got to second book.
And wow, how it delivered.
One of best romances I read, tangled in to epic fantasy story full of action and nice takes on classical themes. It is very satisfying to see how everything grows and expands. World, number of characters, character development, rules of magic.
When story grabs you, it holds firmly to the end and for some time after that.
