I had to do a review as I had so many mixed feelings about this book. The first thing I must say is this book is very…young. It’s definitely aimed at 16-20 year olds. The main character is very naive and cute which I found irritating sometimes as I prefer a character with a bit more of an edge. The first half of the book I found quite cringy and often found my self questioning why I was even reading it. But there were plenty of warm moments that left a smile on my face. The second half of the book is definitely more interesting and kept my attention a lot more, I did enjoy the experience. It’s a coming off age story which always leaves me feeling nostalgic which I definitely felt with this book. I was a bit disappointed at the lack of British characters since I’m English myself I felt there should have been more focus in the culture of the British where as it just felt like Americans abroad which interested me less. It was a nice book and it kept me interested for the most part but the writing style is quite basic and overall I felt I was definitely the wrong audience. I imagine if I were still 16 I would have loved it however.

What an engaging book. I couldn't put it down. I'm so glad I listened to it. I had reservations about did I just buy into it because I like the authors YouTube channel but no It is a modern classic. Wonderful!

Though slightly predictable at times I enjoyed every second of this book. With fun twists and relatable characters I was hooked from the start.

All in all a great book and worth the read/listen if you enjoy fun contemporary books. I look forward to other books by Christine.

The narrator was pretty good aswell, definitely one of the better ones I've listened to in a while.

This is the first contemporary book I've read, only doing so because I'm a huge fan of the authors other online work. This story is a journey well worth going on, and it felt extra special as I related to the 20 year old protagonist so much.

Nice story about 2nd chances, time travel and love. Really enjoyed this book. The suspense becomes stronger once they go back in time.
The characters are relatable in their hopes, dreams and anxieties.
Happily recommend this book, good read/ listen.

Supposed to be for someone in their early 20, should be read by someone clearly younger. The résumé of the book doesn't portray it good at all, it's not what you expect of it.

As a long-time reader who has recently been struggling to dive back in, this book was like a breath of fresh air. It was exactly what I needed. It has everything you would expect from a contemporary novel; loveable characters, an idyllic backdrop, fluffy feel-good romance and an exciting twist that makes it all the better! It was the book equivalent of sitting at home in the dark under the covers with a cup of hot chocolate while wrapped in a blanket, Safe and warm. So if you too are looking to get stuck back in, or your looking for a way to venture into the wide world of contemporary novels. I would definitely recommend. Actually- I couldn't recommend it enough.
