About this listen
Abducted by an ancient, evil entity to his castle and into his service, what is one to do? Amalina is about to find out. The darkest, most dangerous time in her life begins...
With dark humor, suspense, and new takes on genre tropes, this dark fantasy series quickly grows to surprising, epic proportions, but it starts here in the first novel: Amalina and the Secrets of the Wailing Castle.

An epic in the making
This audiobook is a joy from start to finish. Whilst it has some parallels with Dracula tales, it is definitely more fantasy than horror. C.L. Holmes writes beautifully, with a descriptive elegance that creates clear pictures in the mind of the reader – or in this case, the listener. The characters are well-crafted and their interactions are entertaining and often humorous. The narrator, Andy Stevenson, has again shown how adept he is at fashioning each character’s voice to portray their unique personality and to maintain them with consistency throughout.
Those of you who love the Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings series are likely to enjoy this series too as it builds into epic proportions!
