About this listen
It was supposed to be a summer we’d never forget. Instead, everything was stolen from me.
The best friend who was more like a sister.
The innocent way I looked at life.
Leaving me with only unanswered questions.
Returning to the island is the second chance I didn’t know I needed. And Hunter is the surprise that knocks me sideways.
There’s a hurt in him that calls to my own.
A strength I find in sharing our scars.
Igniting a spark that turns to flame.
But someone isn’t happy about the world I’m building for myself. And nothing will stop them from tearing it all apart....

When Piper hires Hunter Hardy and his construction company to help with the renovations, sparks fly!
Both Piper and Hunter try to keep the other at arms length and maintain a business relationship. They both in some way …“Struggle with guilt and ghosts”
But their attraction is stronger than their resolve. ;)
I loved the air of suspense and mystery in this story and there were some surprising twists. I listened to this story on audiobook and really enjoyed the wonderful narration.
-5 Stars-

Hunters is one book we had been looking forward to in the Wrecked Series, and Catherine sure did not disappoint with this one.
From the Prologue she had me gripped. Catherine made sure she gave us a bit of everything with this one, as we have come to expect from her amazing books. Suspense, romance, twists, a touch of angst and lets add some super hotness into the mix. What more could we ask for.
Each book in this series gets better, I have loved each and every one.
Piper was a great character strong and determined, but yet so fragile.
Hunter broke my heart at times, he’s carrying so much guilt from the past, but now he’s met someone who’s past rivals his own.
They soon learn they are stronger as a team as someone doesn’t want to see Pipers dreams come true. Things start to get a bit scary very fast but finding out who is causing the issues proves impossible.
Bruno stole the show though to be fair. He was fantastic.
A brilliant story yet again Catherine, we need Parker’s now 😏

The suspense, the twists and turns, the grief...it all melds together to give you all the feels.
This book was an amazing audio to enjoy, despite some of the tough subjects it broached.
Jason and Erin did a fabulous job bringing Hunter and Piper's story to life.
Amazing audio

To make it even better, she cast Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon as our storytellers. Each so connected to their characters, it was easy to get lost in the story and feel like we are there witnessing it all. I love these two and together they made for a great weekend listen.
Piper & Hunter...& Bruno!!

I really disliked Piper! Yes, she’d been through a lot and she was scared but by god, what a stubborn dumbass! If someone is clearly gunning for you, you don’t refuse to have a badass security system when it’s offered and you don’t grumble when your man cares about you. She was infuriating and honestly, I just didn’t believe her feelings for Hunter. Maybe it was down to the narration affecting believability, maybe it was Piper’s character development, or lack thereof. There just wasn’t enough there for me to believe she gave a crap about Hunter.
Loved the mystery and the tension in the story. Was dying to know what happened to Jen and I kept jumping between suspects. I didn’t see that motive coming, though!
Also, I wish I could visit Anchor (I know it doesn’t exist!) and be brought into that amazing group of friends!
Ps Everyone needs a Bruno in their lives.
Frustrating series end…
