About this listen

Oliver is worried he’s ruined any chance of a relationship between Adar, Delton, and him. One moment of not thinking, one moment of saying too much, and he betrayed Delton’s confidence and Adar’s trust in him. Can this ever be repaired?

Hope sparks in Oliver as Delton decides to stay rather than leave the pack and Adar seems determined to build at least a friendship with Delton. Slowly, the three are making progress, growing closer.

But Adar has vowed to avenge Oliver, and when he gets a chance to fight the man who inflicted so much pain on Oliver, he takes it. When Dempsey fights dirty, does Adar stand a chance?

Meanwhile, the pack struggles with their alpha’s disappearance in arctic Sweden. Will Rhene make his way home to his pack…and his family?

Dragon’s Revenge is the seventh book in the Irresistible Dragons series, a series that needs to be listened to in order or it won’t make much sense. Please do mind the trigger warnings. The book ends with an HEA, but the series itself will continue.

I wanted to like this and was looking forward to it as I was invested in the challenges of the main relationship, but tbh most of the dialogue felt very divorced from the characters and more like they were all reciting from a psychiatrist textbook. Their issues got processed remarkably quickly when faced with a potential MC death, which was predictably frustrating. The other characters also suffered from repeat and predictable interactions that didn't add much to their stories, and the ongoing drama is getting a bit too convoluted to hold my interest. It feels like the author is way more invested in pushing a perspective than telling a story, and while I share and respect the perspective, I don't want it shoved in my face all the time when I'm trying to relax and enjoy a casual book! Given the potential plot and direction of the story arc, the chance that the next book will be another by the numbers how to guide on the correct and most PC ways to communicate with people is high....

Another brilliant book and i loved how everything got sorted though the story arc continues.
