About this listen

Bloomsbury presents Everyone in the Group Chat Dies by L.M. Chilton, read by Kimberley Capero.

'With biting, mordant humor, Chilton sends readers on a serial killer hunt for our disassociated, true-crime-obsessed social media age.' ASHLEY WINSTEAD, bestselling author of In My Dreams I Hold a Knife

Kirby Cornell needs a break from everything:
- Her crumbling flat in the sleepy town of Crowhurst (famous for its award-winning sausage rolls and a second-rate serial killer from the 90s).
- Her dead-end job.
- Her sleazy landlord.
- Her slobbish housemates.
- And, most of all, the terrible thing they all did.

Luckily, that hasn’t caught up with her just yet. Until a new message on their old group chat pops up:

Everyone in the group chat will die.

It’s the first text her ex-flatmate and social-media sleuth Esme has sent for ages, but that’s not the really weird thing.

The really weird thing is, Esme died twelve months ago…

Don’t miss the new laugh-out-loud thriller from L.M. Chilton, Everyone in the Group Chat Dies – a murder mystery that fuses the flatmate comedy of Friends with the serial-killer thrills of I Know What You Did Last Summer.

'A funny, twisty, bloodthirsty murder mystery. Great fun!’ JULIE MAE COHEN, author of Bad Men

'Darkly humorous and suspenseful... kept me turning the pages late into the night.' JOANNA WALLACE, author of You'd Look Better as a Ghost

'A funny, inventive murder mystery that is a real page turner. Fabulous!' VICTORIA DOWD, author of The Smart Woman's Guide to Murder

'An absolute joy of a thriller: fast paced, full of suspense, and laugh out loud funny.' SARAH BONNER, author of Her Perfect Twin

I find that today’s audiobooks have replaced blockbuster movies for me - and this one is no exception. Superb narration, an action packed plot & witty dialogue that made me laugh out loud.

Blockbuster binge worthy!

Really enjoyed this. It's funny, fast paced and such an easy listen. There's some satire of so-called social media detectives, some folk horror and even a bit of (mild) spice. Highly recommended if you're looking for a thriller with a small town mystery, a relatable heroine and an unsolved case from the 90s.
