About this listen
Jonathan Slate, former Marine infantry officer and the Governor of Texas, has just won his bid for the presidency. When an assassin's bullet takes his life during his victory speech, he is conscripted from the afterlife by the Lord of Light, Lucidus.
Slate is thrust into the game-like world of Somnium where he has been reincarnated into the body of a parasite and given one mission: evolve or die.
If he can channel the monster inside and utilize his military and political experience to establish Lucidus' personal army, the Scourge, he might have a chance to evolve before his many enemies find him and send him to a permanent death.

If you know it's bad why are you doing it?
I hate this book don't waste your time or money their are better novels out.
Boring, mundane and rote.

Chapter 16, 1m 54s to 1m 49s: Male Voice actor; uses wrong name to address different person, they mean Slate (who is in the room) but uses Shale (who has already left the room) to address mieress.
This is less of a mistake but its confusing:
Chapter 17, 22m 8s to 22m 3s: Female Voice actor; Shale responds to Slate with : I guess so. But the Female Voice actor says the line so quickly that you can barely understand it, I personally had to rewind this a couple times to understand it myself.
By far the worst mistake so far is this:
Chapter 17, 17m 20s to 17m 14s Female Voice actor; While reading out stats/ upgrades she cuts off saying no I need to not have that last bit. Where is the editing and the professionalism in this audiobook??
This is an outtake that's been included in the audiobook in the middle of the story. It not only breaks the immersion of the story but ruins the book as well. It feels more like a money grab than an actual book that an author would take time to produce. The more scary thing is the time between each mistake, it's like common sense in editing was "launched" (not thrown) out the window.
There are multiple points in the book where the Audio jumps or skips, throughout the book I've found the lines to either be pronounced slowly, like it's been to hard for the voice actors to read the line or spoken to quickly and is barely intelligible.
Chapter 25, 19m 3s to 18m 55s: Female Voice actor; while reading out her line there is a considerable jump in speed, like they've read the line out twice and spliced it together.
clearly from the previous mistakes, this one included, who ever tried to edit and clip this together should consider a career change.
Chapter 26, 10m 13s to 10m 8s: Male to Female Voice actor; annoying spliced clip of conversation between goddess and Slate, It seems to be done on purpose but its poorly edited together.
Apart from a final mistake at:
Chapter 28, 16m 43s to 16m 37s: Male Voice actor; This is a more confusing part that Slate is talking to a Male and female guardian but after talking to one, proceeds to talk to the other, as if the first was female, with the line ( he turned next to the other woman). This is confusing as A: the Voice actor uses the Male voice for the previous guardian and by that I presume they are Male and B: If they are not Male then either this is a line for the Female Voice actor, regardless of whether the character is Male or female there would be no reason for 2 voice actors in the first place.
Finally I personally feel that this book is basically a money grab,
1. No one in the publishing company or editing seems to care or even bother to check this book for release.
2. Audiblebooks hasn't bothered to check either considering this book made it on sale in the first place.
3. Though I understand it's not the Voice actors faults this audiobook was released like this, it still puts a bad taste on any other works either of them might of done. In which case its common sense to do a follow up on anything released with your name on it. In this case (Christopher Boucher and Jessica Threet).
Will be Returning
