About this listen

A standalone novella featuring the same characters as Rachel Abbott's best-selling novel Stranger Child.

Someone is looking for Tasha. But does she want to be found?

Eight months ago Tasha Joseph ran away, and her stepmother, Emma, has been searching for her ever since. She is desperate to give Tasha the home and security she deserves. The problem is, Emma isn't the only one looking for Tasha.

The police are keen to find her, too. She could be a vital witness in a criminal trial, and DCI Tom Douglas has a team constantly on the lookout for her. But Tasha remains hidden, and nobody appears to have seen her.

Suddenly the stakes are raised. Somebody is offering money - a lot of money - for information about Tasha's whereabouts. Tom and Emma know they have never been closer to finding the young girl. But they also recognise that she has never been closer to danger. Can they find her first? She can run - but for how long can she hide?

Nowhere Child

Nowhere Child is a sequel to completed Stranger Child, and that's just what it does, completes the story. Tom Douglas is central but has help from a surprising quarter to protect Emma, Natasha and Ollie.

There are always two sides

Tasha finds herself on the streets of Manchester, she’s run away from so much, why would her step mum still be looking for her after everything that had happened.
Tashas mum had died years before and her step mum Emma had welcomed her home, had until she tried to give away her half brother.
The drug gang couldn’t let her go, the search was getting closer, who would find her first.
Gripping right until the end

Short but good

It’s a shame that audible charged the same price as the longer books, but glad I listened to the short story, once again a very good story by Rachel Abbott.

fantastic

brilliant story which had me totally immersed, a wonderful plot which at times was a very powerful and truthful portrayal of people living rough which was at times heart rendering, wonderful narration and a fitting end to this series of books

So happy to find the story continued

I have really enjoyed this and the previous book, my disappointment at reaching the end of Book one evaporated as I saw the next book. Satisfying and with lots of happy twists and good characters. I've been looking for excuses to run errands so I can listen in the car!
