Eric has been a vampire for nearly a century, and his demons are more than metaphors. While they controlled him, he was the Demon King. I love this series of books they get you involved, asking yourself what would you do, trying to advise Hallar, knowing what path he will take, when you have listened to all the books the repetition gets annoying, but if you listen as a book in isolation I suppose you need this, all in all excellent books, but why can't we have a good ending for once, I hope there are more books on the way, it's like saying goodbye to an old friend and they will make excellent movies

This is a great book (and series) because it's well written, has an engaging story and the narrator is excellent.

This series is for you if you enjoy epic stories that unfold more slowly, with magic and vampires to boot.

Looking forward to the next book in the series.

God I truly hope that there is going to be a book 4? It can't just be left in the void. I haven't enjoyed a series of books like this for such a long time. Truly awe-inspiring and fantastic narration. Easily 5 star thank you for a fantastic listening experience. I haven't been able to put it down - figuratively lol

Eric/Halar always gets the short end of the stick. Whenever he loses his temper though is pretty fun. Definitely the most interesting vampire series I've encountered in several years.

Ok, this trilogy (so far) is long. Very long.
However, it's a testament to the wonderful storytelling, brilliant description of different worlds & some wonderful characters that I'm wanting more.

Love these books, and value for money!!! I would say they go on for ever, but time does when you are having fun. I can't wait for the next instalment, sadly I know it is gonna be a while. When I first heard Sean Runette, I wasn't a fan, but stick with it, he is superb!!!
