About this listen

The Wandering Inn, Book 1, has been rewritten by pirateaba and re-recorded by Andrea Parsneau. This revised edition includes new scenes and perspectives.

"No killing Goblins."

So reads the sign outside of The Wandering Inn, a small building run by a young woman named Erin Solstice. She serves pasta with sausage, blue fruit juice, and dead acid flies on request. And she comes from another world. Ours.

It's a bad day when Erin finds herself transported to a fantastical world and nearly gets eaten by a Dragon. She doesn't belong in a place where monster attacks are a fact of life, and where Humans are one species among many. But she must adapt to her new life. Or die.

In a dangerous world where magic is real and people can level up and gain classes, Erin Solstice must battle somewhat evil Goblins, deadly Rock Crabs, and hungry [Necromancers]. She is no warrior, no mage. Erin Solstice runs an inn. She's an [Innkeeper].

good stuff

OK as people have said the first 5 hours of this book are hard to listen to, but once you get over that it's pure gold. I can't wait for volume 2 to be released

I put this book of for so long....

I put off this book for months because its synopsis didn't immediately grab me. I just saw a lengthy fantasy novel and figured it had to be value for money, more than anything else.
Anyway, I started listening to it less than one month ago and I've already devoured both this and its sequel. I can't recommend this enough. Its written brilliantly, and the narrator is also a fantastic addition to the book.

excellent listen

this was an excellent book to listen to, the quality of the narration and the portrayal of the characters was a dream to listen to. I became fully submerged and and invested in both the story and the characters. I am eagerly awaiting the next book.

Quite a slow story but immensely enjoyable

I was put off at first by the whining main character Erin at the start and the amount the verb ‘stare ‘ is used by the author but glad that I endured. The slow story is immensely enjoyable.

Wow, roller coaster of funny, sad and real life.

It's nice to read a book on adventuring revolved around a woman. It's also a nice touch to have topics around keeping clean, brushing your teeth, toileting and menstruation. Made it more believable as these are things we all deal with but become bigger issues when you find yourself in a situation like Erin! Don't like giving too much info about the book in my reviews but I really enjoyed all aspects of the book, and felt it finished too quickly, even after 60 hours. Will be downloading the next one now as can't wait.

excellent story

it took me a few chapters to get into the story, but once it takes you, you'll be hooked. the narrator is incredible. love the different voices she makes. was a bit puzzled to how in a mysterious world you can get Russian and Irish accents but it was still incredible. the only criticism I will give is the part where she is describing the monster skinner at the end. way too repetitive... we got the message after the first 3 times.
but that is a small part of a43 hour book that I will never forget. cant wait for part 2 to be made available on Audible.

Fantastic narration

The performance on this is truly a masterpiece. The story itself is a little convoluted and amateurish, however put in the context of how it came to be it makes sense. It's a fun piece of fantasy adventure in a world that's easy to sink in to and I'm sure I'll get the next volume.

This is a joy to listen to.

I couldn't stop listening to this. There's something charming about the innocence of the characters in this story. Well developed main and side characters in a wonderful world. I enjoyed every minute.
