Nice follow up to book 1

Good read, Love how Hetty's character develops. Couple of good plot twists too. Couple of giggles at the names of towns or people.

A good listen

It's definitely not as good as the first installment. I enjoyed the book overall but there were moments where I was tempted to put it down.

Better than the first

Wow, this second book in series is even better than the first. A performance to match the greats and a story that will hook you from the start. Enjoy

a good yarn for all ages... not just the young

it's been a while since I read a "youth" book... I didn't read Harry Potter for example... but I have to say that there is a far dose of really creative imagination that could at a stretch become true. I live the rather dark idea of municipal darwinism. on the other hand even if it never comes to pass the story can just be a ripping yarn but at the same time it has its fair dose of symbolism and metaphor to keep this old man fed on all the level I like to be. The writer is a smart cookie and the reader is just brilliant... I dont know how he manages to remember all his different characterizations but he does and just keeps you in there. Now with anticipation moving on to book 3 !

Good sequel

Definitely an excellent sequal, some characters were definitely shocking but a great follow on to the original

Brilliant series

Loved it, can't wait to continue the series, just wish the film was even half as goos as the books as always

Traction cities move on!

I read the book with my son a few years ago . Revisiting it through Audible has been great fun, and Barnaby Edwards’ narration is first rate. The characterisations are first rate, the plot draws you in, and I was completely emersed in the world of traction cities. Can’t wait to get started on ‘Infernal Devices’
