Like the story, but the male voiceactor is not my cup of tea..
The voiceactors are not the best, especially the male voice. The story is interesting, but the worldbuilding a bit minimal.

Addictive!
This series just gets better and better. Lore is still a bit whiny but there is some gradual character development with her. Love Nadir (though I think we could do without his lustful thoughts during life threatening situations). Speaking of lustful situations, the spicy scenes are great. I wouldn't call it a slow burn but the burn we got in this book is exactly what it needs. I really liked the flashback into Circe's story. Looking forward to reading the next book.

I loved this book!! It was better than the first book!!
So good, I loved the tension between two of them. Couldnt stop listening.. hooked and have to get the 3th book too..

alright will read the next book
liked the story and enjoyed the tail but wish the ending was finished rather then the cliff hanger. Still enjoying it so will continue. This book was more history which was great but wish it had a good close like the last.

A great second instalment bring on book 3!
I really liked this second book I think nadir is becoming one of my top book boyfriends :) I maybe would have liked a little bit more action as I felt it dragged a little bit when they were searching for the crown & it was getting a little bit lost in the angst & not the story but overall I was all here for the romance / spice development. I did start to feel sorry for nadir as lor gives him a hard time throughout this book. I really hope in book 3 she finally faces her feelings & they admit it to each other!!

Great Book
I really didn't know what to expect after Trial of the Sun Queen, but this story is epic. I love all the relationships and how they interact and hope Lor & Nadir sort it out and Lor gets her magic back properly. Next book please!

Boring, slow and formulaic
She tries to get her crown. Saved you many hours of listening.
The chapters are read by character so if its from the female pov then she reads all of the lines including the male ones. What a shame as Corvin has a gorgeous voice.
Plot went nowhere, drawn out convoluted, tortuous even. I tried to take the book back for my credit but Audible wouldn't let me.
How anyone likens this to ACOTAR is beyond me. It's romantasy by numbers. Avoid.
