Summary
The Scriven people are brilliant, mad - and dead. All except one, whose monstrous creation is nearly complete - a giant city on wheels. New London terrifies the rest of the world, and an army of mammoth-riders gathers to fight it. Meanwhile, young Fever Crumb begins a hunt for Ancient technology in their icy strongholds. She finds a mysterious black pyramid full of secrets. It will change her world forever. Scrivener's Moon follows Fever Crumb and A Web of Air to complete one of the most exciting and inventive fantasy adventures series ever recorded for audio.

Great book
Great book following along the crumb series, although I think I prefer Phillip Reeve as the narrator.

An enjoyable series
I love the world the Philip Reaves has created and this book often had me thinking over parts throughout the day in between listening sessions.
I was worried that the performance was going to be poor based on the other reviews, but I found it enjoyable and easy to listen to. I did have to slow it down to 1.1 speed, instead of 1.4 which is what I listened to the other at. The recording didn't seem quite as good as the other books, but the performance was still good.
Really enjoyed the ties and connections to the mortal engine series, something to look out for when listening.

Awful narration and slightly disappointing end
I spent the first half of this book desperately trying to adjust to the narrator, weird emphasis on random words and equally odd character voices. beyond that, the story didn't get going as well as in other books by the author and I felt disappointed by the ending; wish it had been more epic, somehow.

Really Enjoyed this
I love this writer and actually this narrator - i was surprized to read the criticisms below. Her other books are amazing - she has a really lovely voice and tells stories beautifully - so, while she doesn't sound comfortable on this book, she would have had a director. The final recording style and how the voices are characterised is up to them not her. So perhaps she didnt feel comfortable with what she was being asked to do? It does happen. And the sound quality on this book overall isn't my favourite -I can't put my finger on it, but maybe sounds a bit tinny? But I still really enjoyed it.

Worst narrator ever
I nearly gave up on this because of the narrator. She’s awful! Accents are terrible and she sounds like she’s got a hernia or something the rest of the time.

an interesting story and nice backstory for Mortal
although I like the story it felt a bit scattered
narration was clear but uneven which made it quite distracting. the repertoire of Voices did not quite gel so well with Mr crum.

great story but didn't enjoy narrator change
Was disappointed that the narrator made characters sound really posh. This created discrepancy between this book and the rest of the series.

A shame to end the series with this reading
The reading is distractingly bad. I have several times stopped listening because of it but ultimately wanted to hear how the story ends. I considered just buying a physical book to avoid the reading but I want to listen while travelling.
