I have listened to every J D Kirk book, and loved everyone, yet again the narration was outstanding. I was so desperate for this book seems like forever since the last one, I tried to listen slowly not wanting it to end! I laughed out loud so many times at Hoon, see the next DCI logan is due in May so only a few weeks to wait. The books never disappoint me

narrative went a bit obscure this time when the narrator had to do different accents. but or didn't deter from the story. I felt he did the voice of the main character too loud and shouting.
the story is a follow on from the first book and it did conclude. this is quite a violent story so be aware of that. I would have preferred less description of the fighting and torture. anyway I liked the main character despite the shouty voice. I think if I'd read the book he wouldn't be shouty.

I have enjoyed this book and previous one immensely, loads of swearing but not in a crude way, the two books also have a lot of humour .
I hope there are more to come.
I think they are up there in my top 10 of enjoyable books.

I didn't like Bob Hoon in the Jack Logan series but on his own he is great fun.

I’ve read (listened to) all of JD Kirk’s books so far and they always make me laugh out loud which for a crime thriller is outstanding. Hoon is a legend, loveable and terrifying.
I highly recommend listening rather than reading as Angus King is excellent as narrator. His Scottish accents are brilliant and his comic timing is spot on.
They’re very satisfying stories too. Enjoy!
