Summary

Read by the author, Dan Biggar.

After fifteen years at the very pinnacle of test rugby, leading the most successful squad in Welsh history, Dan Biggar tells his story.

When I reflect on it all, I can say without any doubt that I gave it everything.

Dan Biggar has never fitted the mould. Throughout his long and decorated career, he has had to confront the critics, to silence the cynics. His playing style has been described as brash, aggressive and forthright, and it has earned him a reputation he has never been able to shake. But to anyone who knows him off the pitch, he is one of the most grounded ambassadors the game could ask for.

Honest and self-critical, Dan offers a rare insight into his personal and professional life. He talks candidly of his place within rugby, from the Premiership through to the Lions, and of the power dynamics within Wales’ most successful squad ever. He also opens the changing room doors and explores his relationships with past team mates, coaches and managers, from Warren Gatland and Shaun Edwards to Alun Wyn Jones and Wayne Pivac.

The Biggar Picture is the story of a man who has taken in the joy, the graft and despair to become one of the sport’s most compelling figures – and Wales’ most capped fly-half.

Great rugby biography

It doesn't come as a surprise but I really enjoyed Dans grit and unwavering honesty in this book. A must read/listen for any rugby fan.

Honest and Revealing

I really enjoyed Dan's open and honest reflection on his life and career. I specifically enjoyed the fact he didn't hide his feelings whether they were too his credit or his detriment.

A player to be respected

It may be bizarre to call Dan Biggar underrated but it has always seemed like the Welsh fans always wanted someone else! As an English fan who suffered at his hands (boots?) on a number of occasions, that always baffled me.

As you'd expect if you've watched him play, Dan never shirks from controversial topics and times during his career. It's interesting to hear his take on some of the big performances and flare ups. more interesting are the behind the scenes discussions and his thoughts on his coaches.

A very interesting listen and well done to Dan for reading his own book!

Honesty

At first the narration felt somewhat amateur, but as the book progressed started to feel more natural and honest. A great insight into Dan's experiences in rugby. Thanks for the memories Biggs

A good read

As far as Rugby autobiographies go, this one is a decent 7/10. I am a fan of Dan but his voice is very monotone...makes it a bit hard to listen to long sections at once
