After the somewhat sprawling and unfocused book 3, this one is right back on track with a superb story brilliantly told. It is always enthralling and often moving and inspiring. And the narrator is superb. Bringing the world to life perfectly. I didn't want it to end. Bravo.

Absolutely amazing. Christian Cameron twinned with Peter Noble drag you into the world of the Greco Persian Wars and make you feel as though Arimnestos is more a part of you than your own body. Phenomenal.

To contradict the comments accompanying this audio book - "Perfect for fans of the blockbusting film of 300" NO. This narrative is leagues above the Hollywood trash that was the film 300 and quite frankly it's an insult to compare it with such nonsense; IMO. Please do not be put off by such an ill conceived comment and if you are a fan of 300, then listen, learn and prepare to be educated. 🫤 Mick the Hick
