About this listen

Everyone thinks my husband is dead. Just like we planned…

Eleven years ago, my husband disappeared. Eleven long hard years I waited, my heart breaking for our son, who didn’t know his father was coming back.

Today, my hands shake as I try to understand what I’ve just learned: my husband has a new wife. This wasn’t part of our plan.

Eleven years ago, my husband made a terrible mistake. I sacrificed everything to help him fix it. But now he’s put our son and me in danger again.

We had a plan. He broke the rules. But who will pay the price?

Characters

I found the characters confusing, also feel like you don’t really know them. It was slow getting. I only really enjoyed it when it got to chapter 60

Ok but not my favourite.

This is a good enough yarn but not particularly one of KL Slater’s stand out best books. Worth a listen on a freebie.

Another great book!

I kept putting off listening to this book based on the title. Im thinking heterosexual male cheats on wife etc but it was fabulously written With all its twists and turns and a lot of ‘Oh my god!’ And ‘Didn’t see that coming’ moments. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended. Looking forward to the next one.

A Mixed Bag

The Married Man" begins slowly, with a somewhat laboured pace. While the implausible plot is a given in the realm of fiction, the story often strains credulity, hindering the reader's suspension of disbelief. Instead of a twisting, suspenseful narrative, the novel presents a rather straightforward mission that all characters are up for suspicion in one way or another.

However, on balance, the second half of the book picks up momentum, delivering a more engaging storyline. This shift in pace leaves the reader wanting to discover the resolution. While not this authors finest work, "The Married Man" is far fine as a book included in the subscription bit I not waste a credit on it . The narration, at least, is well-executed.

Listening to Married Man needs concentration but keep going

I had to rewind quite a few times to keep up with story as the chapters changed the period of the action. Could be 11 years after disappearance, 2 months before disappearance, So no two chapters were in the same time zone
So saying that it was brilliantly narrated and it all became clear and had a most satisfactory conclusion
Many twists and turns and apart from the author I defy anyone to have worked out the plot
