About this listen

In this thrilling conclusion to These Hollow Vows—the sexy action-packed fantasy by New York Times best-selling author Lexi Ryan that started it all—Brie finds herself caught between two princes and two destinies while the future of the fae realm hangs in the balance.

After Abriella's sister was sold to the fae, she thought life couldn't get any worse. But when she suddenly finds herself caught in a web of lies of her own making—loving two princes and trusting neither—things are not quite as clear as she once thought.

As civil war wages in the Court of Darkness, Brie finds herself unable to choose a side. How can she know where she stands when she doesn't even know herself anymore? In this darkly romantic thrill ride, the more faerie is torn apart from the inside, the clearer it becomes that prophecies don't lie and Brie has a role to play in the fate of this magical realm—whether she likes it or not.

I loved this - it tied the story up brilliantly. I went in to it not liking Bash at all and by the end he redeemed himself. Loved Finn from the start and the relationship between all the characters was lovely to watch develop. Off to find some more books by Lexi now

Another to listen to again and again

If Lexi uses the phrase once, she uses it a million times. So and so blows out a breath.

Sadly the sequel is not as powerful as the first book. But it was worth a listen. Just wish the text was a bit more creative.

It’s a good, cute love story and a well done ending that ties everything together.

A perfect ending

First book in the duo is great, nice build to the world and and overall good story, that’s why I was so excited for the sequel. However, this book falls flat and very rushed. Somehow I don’t buy the characters and their actions, their choices and the story overall. What a shame since the first one was so good. Narrator is doing a decent job tho.

Hurried and falls a bit flat

After the first book I was hesitant about the second but I wanted to have the answers that were needed after finishing it. This book didn't disappoint in any way. Full credit to the narrator who made me feel each emotional moment and almost had me in tears with the intense, well written scenes between the main characters. This isn't my usual read but these particular two books are now a firm favourite.

Better than the first.

I really enjoyed the first book in the series. Very intriguing and exciting new world to get to know but this sequel doesn't do the first book justice.
The ending is very rushed and it really feels like the author just wanted to get this book done and over with. What a shame cause I really like the story and performance.

A little rushed...

This book picks up where the first left us. It has a good pace and build. I found myself wanting more. Because it is a good story and with good stories, readers gobble them up, like hair the goblins take, in this duology. It had potential to be a trilogy. Yet It is heartfelt, and I couldn’t stop listening. Despite wishing for more in this fictional world; the ending ties up pretty well, maybe a little faster than desired. Some books leave you empty after you read them. But I felt heartfelt at the last moment.

Heartfelt

My favourite parts of this book were the descriptions of the world, magic and monsters within it. Somehow it was written a lot better then the first book.
A few things I didn’t like was the random tangents the that characters would go on like extremely lengthy conversations about things that were pretty straightforward in my opinion. Also the times when Finn and Bree would get into the smallest arguments and disagreements.
Although I did find the first book more enjoyable I did like this series a lot and Finn and Bree are a beautiful match!

Boring at times but still very good
