This second book was not what I was expecting. I like that there was some predictability, but also many surprises.

Good read, flows well from first book.
Narrator was easy to listen too.

Great 2 rd book

This story continues the story of the two young people after their return and the betrayal that they are subjected to. The action and the drama are good and the characters develop throughout the ordeal as they overcome various issues thrown into their paths.

The narration of this book is very good with the voices being done for each character.

This book was provided free of charge with the expectation of an honest review.

Really enjoyed the first book and this one was really good as well. I like the unpredictable nature of the storyline and the strong female character. This one features a giant bird, an assassin, two sick kings and the dreaming place. A sequel not to be missed.

The second awesome instalment

I was hesitant to listen to 'White Bird', the second book in W.K.Greyling's duology, because I'd so enjoyed the narration in the previous book and I was concerned that some consistency might be lost. How wrong I was. Another fine narrator in the form of Tim H. Dixon, drew me into and through this book with good diction, fabulous voice acting, and a true feel for the characters and situations. He brought them to life for me, and now the book is done I will miss them.

My thanks to W. K. Greyling for writing such a marvelous book, for keeping me entranced, and for the wonderful people and places he drew in my mind. I really like the author's writing style and I'm already hungry for more. I haven't checked yet, but I'm hoping there may be more by him.

My advice, if you're looking for your next read, try this book and the previous in the duology. I hope you find them as entrancing as I did.

So wonderfully woven a story is a delightful find

really liked how detailed the end of the book was, not an ambiguous finish many books have - it continued for a bit to show how it all unfolded instead of "happy ever after". And it was also nice to see the side story of he fmwhite doe play out. highly recommend!

satisfying finish

Absolutely loved this second book of schemes, adventure and fantasy. Brilliantly written and narrated, really bringing the characters to life.

Exciting and magical

Just as unpredictable as the first and answered questions about the first book that I didn’t even know I had. Really beautiful ending and again, well paced. Continued to go against the trope of damsel falling in love with rescuer and felt very authentic. The change of narrator worked surprisingly well and I found myself just as captured as with the previous one, they were both picked very well.

Even better than the first

White Bird, good storyline and well-narrated but it does go on a bit and a little slow on the action, I enjoyed listening to White Bird but to be honest it's not a book I would listen to again 4/5
