About this listen
A SERIAL KILLER ON A POISONOUS MISSION PUSHES NIKKI AND HER TEAM TO BREAKING POINT
Revellers are flocking into Greenborough for the yearly Dark Greenborough Festival, a three-day event celebrating local folklore, superstition, and the darker side of life.
What the public doesn't know is that there has been a warning sent to the police, saying that Greenborough will be a very dangerous place this year. The anonymous letter ends with the Latin phrase, Mors certa, hora incerta: Death is certain, the hour uncertain.
DI Nikki Galena and her team soon discover this is no hoax, as people start dying from what appears to be alcoholic poisoning. Things rapidly escalate, and as the deaths get more horrific, Nikki realizes they have a serial killer in their midst.

Very dark
Good story - few too many characters to keep up with and murders are pretty awful in nature but kept my attention. Got used to narrator by book 10

Just love this author
I await the next installment of tjis series. Joy never disappoints with the twists & turns & fast paced storylines. The narrator may not be perfection, but I now enjoy her reafing style.
I certainly didn't see the ending coming.

Another brilliant story. Who could do such awful things and why.Nikki and Joseph have a hard time finding the culprits their nerves are stretched to breaking point.

Brilliant
Another brilliant edition of the series and I must admit that despite being unsure of the narrator in the early books in the series, as I have progressed I don’t think that it would be quite the same with someone else reading these books to me - I shall be very sorry when I reach the end of the last book in the series and will miss all the characters.

Gripping and engaging story from a first class author
Wow! Joy Ellis does not disappoint! In a case that pulls on the emotions more than any other since the early days of Nikki and Joseph’s partnership, the team have a hideous killer to contend with, one that’s using an annual local festival as their hunting ground and the threat of illegal alcohol during a time when Greenborough is choc full of revellers. As the case pushes everyone to the brink, Nikki becomes increasingly worried about Joseph, who’s finding this especially hard. Will she have to watch the man she loves make a big mistake? I won’t spoil it, but I will say that I’m very very hoping Joy Ellis has more planned for Nikki and Joseph because I’m a huge fan of them and her!

Accents and pronunciation!
Where shall I start? Accents poor, pronunciation questionable. ie paintful instead of painful! Thank God the story is stronger than the narrator!!!
