I love this series and the world that LJ Ross has created. The character dynamics and the life that Jonathan Keeble brings to them are what make it for me. Started and finished in one day and can’t wait for the next. Great to have the gang back!

I am usually a big fan of the narrator but the Irish lilt of Denise was not the same as in previous books - I found that annoying. The same happened in the previous book where a character from early books, who reappeared, had a totally different voice. Shame.

I've been a fan of the Ryan series for quite some time, and have always enjoyed Johnathan Keebles delivery. I'd thought the more recent installments had lost a little of the wow factor - however the LJ Ross magic was back with this one, and I'm delighted about that.
Interested to see where the storyline goes next...

LJ Ross has done it again. The DCI Ryan mysteries are superbly written and narrated by Jonathan Keeble in such a way that you feel you know the characters personally. One minute it has you on the edge of your seat and the next laughing out loud. I cannot wait for the next one!
