Critic reviews

A (self) love letter to those whose brains are beautifully and uniquely different. Speaking from lived experience, Rox and Rich manage to shift the paradigm associated with ADHD, which up until now has been riddled with lies and misinformation. This book reminds readers that rather than having a disorder, they are simply differently ordered and when managed with kindness, it can become their superpower! (Riyadh Khalaf , broadcaster, Youtuber and winner of Celebrity MasterChef 2020)
Pre ADHD diagnosis I read so many self development books. I used to try to implement what I learned and would feel like a failure, feel frustrated and blame myself for being lazy when I couldn’t get those strategies to work for me. Books like this are so important for people with ADHD to break free from holding our selves to Neurotypical standards. (Rach Idowu, 'Adulting with ADHD' Neurodivergency advocate)
My whole life i’ve beaten myself up, comparing myself to my peers & wondering why i can’t handle life like them. but actually, ADHD has made me incredibly special, ambition, determined & capable of the most amazing things that others aren’t & for that, i think neurodiversity is a beautiful thing. Thank you for writing this book. I will be listening over and over again, and buying it in print. It’s value is beyond words. Thank you.

Everything I wish I had known as the parent of an undiagnosed ADHDer 30 years ago

I can't believe I read this all the way through, understanding every part of it. when I got diagnosed a year ago I was completely lost. I found rich and rox on FB and was blown away. I found this book soon after and my life began to make sense and all the things is struggled with in life became a little more clear. I was realising I wasn't alone. the book is written so well that I felt like they were with me on my journey of self discovery as I read each page I was in awe at the way they seemed to understand me by just filling in my empty mind gaps! I'm actually thankful that I found these two amazing people. They really don't know how they've helped change my life in the last year and for the future too. I owe them so much. thank you Rich and Rox for helping me with my life.

amazing

As someone who is struggling with ADHD, this made me feel so seen and I spend most of it shaking my head in disbelief that I am not alone in my feelings and that there is actually a compassionate way to look at my brain! Thank you very much for writing this!

I have never felt more seen

I wasn’t sure if I was going to get this second book by the pinks, but it was totally worth it, every chapter resonated with feelings I have had as a person with ADHD and I really hope my partner will listen because I think it gives the best insight into how I feel about myself and how I feel I could be supported by my partner. It’s on my essential reading list I will give to any person I encounter with ADHD.

A must read for ADHDers and their loved ones.

I love that both of Rich and Rox share their views on each lie. It's so amazing how each perspective creates one bigger picture. Thank you for sharing your story and shedding light on what it's really like to live with ADHD. You've made us feel heard, understood and hopeful.

Real, heartfelt and absolutely amazing.

I have no diagnosis and feel like a fraud writing this but thanks for changing direction. I needed this book far more than draft 1.

This book was not easy listening for me. I am a 40 something man and should not be crying at the introduction, but I did. listening to that list in one go...

The emotion in Rox's voice is intense at times and really, really makes this one of those times where I suspect that the audiobook is a far superior experience. Bought a few days ago, I'm on second listening and have gifted a copy.

if you suspect that you or someone you know may have any form of neuro divergence, please read or listen to this. you can read all the information you want on the condition, about the symptoms, but you need to understand the lived experience. This book helps with that.

Thanks for the tears

What an amazing couple these two are and the work they’ve done on themselves and to learn how to love and accept Rox for her beautiful, chaotic, funny self is amazing and I thank them for writing this book. It made me cry at times realising quite how cruel I am to myself but it’s the start of me being kinder. My partner is currently reading it and is finding it really beneficial

Amazing for those with ADHD and loved ones
