Summary
Wealthy racing yard owner Edward de Jersey has spent the last few years of his life reaping the rewards of his criminal mastermind past and spending his free time priming his star horse, Royal Flush, for a Derby win. Cracking read
Great story full of twists, turns and intrigue and superbly performed by Paul Thornley. I found his narration really brought the characters to life and hope in the future he will be used by the author again.

Storytelling at it’s absolute finest
Just loved this book. The characters, the storyline, such a brilliant book. Lynda la Plante has to be one of the best writers, if not the best, in this genre. Addictive listening.

A great read
As a fan of horse racing and crime fiction this book was written for me. A real page turner and one of those stories where you hope the "baddie" will win in the end and readers' opinions will differ as to whether he did or did not. My only annoyance was the impossible amount of activity that. was achieved in five weeks between the two major events in the story. This was so unbelievable it removed some of the gloss for me.
