This is a good story line but I found it’s a little too long-winded.

The very talented narrator

This book had me hooked, until the ending. The story was engaging and I couldn’t put it down, the ending was awful - I’m still wondering if I’ve missed something. It felt like someone had told Lynda to hurry up and close the book. Sorry as I love her writing.

Twisted, but ran out of steam

Excellent psychological story. Very good narration of voices. Don’t like the frequent pronunciation of garage as “garridge” but the scene setting is full of atmosphere. One thing surprised me …Linda La Plante’s tautology. It is somewhat annoying, such as “she put on mascara to darken her lashes” (what else would she use it for?) and “it was clear she was not the real author of the journal” (why “real”? ) and “she had a pre-arranged appointment“ (double tautology!). One other over-used phrase (at least four times is “he/ she felt “sick to his/her stomach”. Not a nice expression - American possibly? But over all, the book held my attention.

Good plot

...ending could've been more fulfilling to be honest. I won't add any spoilers, but it's still worth the listen. Narrator had a good range of voices for the characters.

Good listen...
